Twenty eight years ago, Senie and his twin sister were born in Sierra Leone during the notorious Diamond War. When he was 5 years old he and his sister were adopted and brought to the U S and raised in New Hampshire. He first heard the music within him while in middle school. His adopted family listened to a considerable amount of Celtic music. When his dad gave him his first guitar he assumed it was a percussive instument. Eventually his West African roots started to find its way into his singular sound that incorporates very innovative melodic rhythms. He now lives in Nashville and actively tours throughout the year.
