Playing For Change is a multimedia music project, featuring musicians and singers from across the globe, co-founded in 2002 by American Grammy award-winning music producer/engineer and award-winning film director Mark Johnson and film producer/philanthropist Whitney Kroenke.The music for Playing For Change was made by dozens of artists – mostly street musicians – around the world, recorded using mobile equipment and digital editing software.

WUMB will celebrate the April 28, 2009 release of the first Playing For Change collaboration throughout the day on Thursday. Hear the Artist of the Day features in the 9 AM, noon, 3 PM, and 7 PM hours each weekday.
