Randi Millman has been a fixture in the Boston area music community for over 30 years. After a brief enrollment at Emerson College, she began a radio career with stints at WLYN, WFNX, WBOS and WAAF.

Randi’s love of music eventually took her down the path of booking some of the area’s most well respected venues, including T.T The Bear’s in Cambridge, Johnny D’s in Somerville and for the past 8 years, Atwood’s Tavern in Cambridge. She’s proud to have curated some of the first area shows from Shovels & Rope (Johnny D’s), Colter Wall (Atwood’s Tavern), Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit (T.T The Bear’s). Randi also brought Pegi Young to Johnny D’s for a WUMB Member Concert when much to everyone’s surprise, Neil Young played guitar for the entire show, even debuting a new song.

A two-time Boston Music Award recipient (2014 Unsung Hero and 2016 Promoter Of The Year for her work at Atwood’s Tavern), Randi is excited to return to her radio roots by joining the stellar staff at WUMB. “Getting back behind a microphone at a station so committed to its listeners is a true honor and pleasure”.

When not sitting in the host chair at WUMB, Randi loves to explore the gardens and trails of New England and is learning to play clawhammer style banjo.
