May 5- In the far north western part of China the Xinjiang region is home to the Uyghur population, a distinct ethnic minority with a unique cultural history, and a vibrant musical heritage that owes its roots to Central Asia, and in particular to Turkey. We’ll investigate to hear what’s happening there. As always, new music from around the globe to wrap up.
