Monday, November 22 marks the 53rd anniversary of the release of The Beatles’ White Album. Known for its far-ranging reach of styles including folk, ska, music hall, blues, and avant-garde soundscapes, the album marked yet another shift for The Beatles who were coming off the heady psychedelia of Sgt. Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour. The White Album stands as the band’s only double LP and saw them performing live in studio once again.
