Shemekia, daughter of R&B musician and bandleader Johnny Copeland, has been releasing her own records for almost 25 years. Her latest release from August 2022 is Done Come Too Far and it furthers the modern approach to blues singing, songwriting, and song interpretation that she has explored on previous albums.
