I began at WUMB as a phone volunteer during our fundraisers, back in the early 1990’s. I loved the vibe of WUMB, the staff, the listeners, and the volunteers. And to this day, I believe that that “tripod relationship” is the engine that keeps WUMB alive and well.

Back then, I  began filling in on WUMB folk radio covering weekday shifts for vacationing hosts during their summer vacation weeks. I loved it! I was a teacher then, so it was easy for me to do that and I was available during the summer.

Then Celtic Twilight, my favorite show, had an opening and the rest is history! I love Celtic music and have learned so much through the years  and continue to learn!

So bottom line, I am a fan, just like you and I feel so lucky to having been in the right place at the right time to work at the best “grass-roots built” public radio station, and I’m proud to be a part of WUMB!
