Join the Morning Show on Friday, June 28 for a celebration of Delta blues musician David “Honeyboy” Edwards. Born in Shaw, Mississippi on this day in 1915, Honeyboy was a student of Charley Patton’s at Dockery Plantation, was with Robert Johnson when he was poisoned in August of 1938, recorded for Alan Lomax and the Library of Congress in 1942, and was one of the longest-living of his contemporaries. He published in memoir ion 1997 entitled, The World Don’t Owe Me Nothin’.
