Scottish musician Bert Jansch (born November 3, 1943) was a leading figure in the British folk boom of the 1960s and 70s with his own solo records, collaborations with John Renbourn, and work with the band Pentangle.
His influence can be heard in the recordings of Jimmy Page, Neil Young, Nick Drake, Laura Marling, and Parsonsfield who carry on in Jansch’s spirit.
Join WUMB on Wednesday for a celebration of Bert Jansch on what would have been his 78th birthday.
