In the Spring of 2006, with a couple handfuls of original songs, Johnny and Sam recruited drummer/percussionist JC Campbell for a string of Sunday summer evening bar gigs in Somerville, MA. Soon, Aaron joined in on mandolin, then Joe on blue fiddle.
