Fresh off her recording session at iconic FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Alice Howe returns to City Winery Boston for a special Thanksgiving weekend show in the Haymarket Lounge. Backed by an all-star band, the Newton native, now living in Los Angeles, will be previewing songs from her forthcoming record as well as revisiting material from her 2019 full-length debut, Visions. Alice will be supported by a band featuring her producer and band leader, former long-time Bonnie Raitt bassist Freebo, guitarist Marty Walsh (Supertramp, Donna Summer, Dolly Parton), drummer Dave Mattacks (Fairport Convention), and the inimitable Eric Schwartz on keyboards.

Alice’s 2017 EP You’ve Been Away So Long debuted on the Folk Radio Charts with a #1 Most Played song, “Homeland Blues,” firmly establishing Alice as a rising voice in modern folk. Raised on the timeless folk and blues of the 60s and 70s, Alice continues to branch out into Americana and Roots with her soulful, impeccably tuned voice and crafted poetry.
