Barrett Anderson cites influences that range from the J. Geils Band to Morphine, and Bo Diddley to Muddy Waters. Anderson performed at the original House of Blues in Harvard Square at age 15 with legendary pianist Pinetop Perkins and guitarist Bob Margolin, and before long Anderson found himself playing vintage acoustic blues. He joined Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters, from 1999 to 2002, after which he formed The Barrett Anderson Band featuring his lead vocals & guitar, Charlie Mallet on guitar & vocals, Doug MacLeod drums, and Jamie “Black Cat Bone” Hatch on bass & vocals.

Bees Deluxe is Boston-based acid blues band that have toured from Maine to Miami playing original music and their own re-arranged classic blues & jazz tune in theatres, clubs and Festivals up and down the east coast. Blues Blast Magazine said of the band “…what might happen if Freddie King took a lot of acid then wrote a song with Pat Metheny and asked a strung-out Stevie Ray Vaughan to take a solo.” Their dual frontline consists of Carol Band on keys, harmonica & vocals, Conrad Warre guitar & vocals, and is powered by the sonic engine room of Allyn Dorr on bass & vocals and Paul Giovine on drums & percussion.
