I hope you’re enjoying all that the Summer has to offer, as well as staying happy and healthy. Even though we’re into the last stretch of Summer we still have some terrific Programming to share with you, and much more.

We’re getting to “return” to Campus starting in August. While some of us have never really left, everyone is reporting back to the University this month which has a familiar and welcoming feeling. The University is excited to start the Fall Semester back in person, and in turn WUMB is happy as well.

As long as things continue to improve you’re going to start to hear some familiar aspects of weekly Programming, like the return of live, in-person interviews. We’ve missed these terribly as not only is live music essential, but these interviews also provide amazing insight into the musical process.

And another thing we’re working on is getting a schedule of Member events for the remainder of 2021, and going forward into 2022. It’s been difficult to make plans when most of the world still remains uncertain, but just know we’re doing our best to work on ways to get together. We’ll continue to plan as best we can for in-person events like the one we have coming up on Saturday, August 21st, and we’ll continue to work on online events like we’ve done for Blues Recording History.

I once again want to thank you for your continued support of WUMB. We simply wouldn’t be here without your continued support, and we truly appreciate it. I hope you enjoy the rest of your Summer!
