For more than three decades, Catie Curtis has occupied a singular place in American songwriting. Long before authenticity became a marketing strategy, Curtis was practicing a quieter art: making songs that feel like conversations, invitations into a shared emotional space where listeners recognize themselves.
Over the course of fifteen albums and thousands of performances, her career has taken her from Boston’s vibrant folk scene to stages across the country, from Carnegie Hall to the White House. Yet Curtis’s enduring appeal has never been about accolades alone. It stems from a rare ability to transform private experiences into shared ones, creating music that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant.
Three decades into a remarkable career, Catie Curtis continues to do what she has always done best: create songs that illuminate, comfort, and connect. If you are already a WUMB Member (at a minimum of $84 annually or $7 per month) you and one guest can attend upcoming member concerts for free (space permitting) by sending us an email at wumb.membership@umb.edu (preferred method), or by calling in your reservation at (617) 287-6902. Please include your Name, Member Number (if known), Daytime Phone or Email, and the Number of Seats you would like to reserve. Please note that the number of seats you are able to reserve is contingent upon your level of membership and the higher your level of membership, the more guests you can bring for free.
