Krasinski provides improvised organ accompaniment for the 1927 Fritz Lang silent movie Metropolis, starring Brigette Helm, Alfred Abel, Gustav Fröhlich, and Rudolf Klein-Rogge.  Set in a towering mega-city, Metropolis is sharply split in two: high above, elites live in decadent sky-gardens, while deep underground, an enslaved working class powers massive, roaring machinery.  Everything shatters when Freder, the privileged son of the city’s ruthless leader, falls for Maria, a subterranean prophet preaching peaceful reconciliation.

Packed with jaw-dropping Art Deco architecture, history’s first screen android, and pioneering visual effects created long before digital CGI, the film plays out as a high-stakes, fast-paced thriller.  Its visual style set the blueprint for nearly every sci-fi dystopia and cyber-thriller that followed.

Krasinski is known as a conductor, organists and music educator whose imaginative and energetic performances elevate and inform audiences.  Along with regular concert appearances, he specializes in live improvised silent file accompaniment worldwide.  He has premiered the art in major venues in North America, Europe, and Asia.
