“Americanarama” is hosted by longtime Boston DJ Mike Gioscia and features a curated mix of alt-country, folk, roots, bluegrass, and country rock. The show features original alt-country acts like Uncle Tupelo, Whiskeytown, and Lucinda Williams and showcases some of the biggest touring bands today like Wilco, Margo Price, Jason Isbell, My Morning Jacket, The Avett Brothers, and Brandi Carlile. Mixed throughout the program are established Americana artists like Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, The Lone Bellow, and First Aid Kit as well as the twangy sides of Bob Dylan, The Band, Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard, Linda Ronstadt, and Tom Petty.  And there’s always a few surprised, thus the “Rama” part of the show.
