WUMB is proud to once again be partnering with The Belleville Roots Music Series who are presenting Marcia Ball on Saturday, May 20th.

The Boston Globe has described her music as “an irresistible celebratory blend of rollicking, two-fisted New Orleans piano, Louisiana swamp rock and smoldering Texas Blues from a contemporary storyteller.” Marcia has an amazing career spanning 6 decades with multiple awards and nominations ranging from Grammy Awards to induction into Austin Music Hall of Fame which only scratches the surface of her amazing career. 

Belleville Roots uses two performance spaces for its concerts, the historic 1867 Meetinghouse and the smaller, more intimate Stage Room in the adjacent Fiske Chapel complex. Both venues are part of Belleville Congregational Church at 300 High Street in Newburyport. The Meetinghouse provides seating for 500 on its main and balcony levels.
