Join WUMB throughout the day on Thursday, January 6th as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the birth of the “pre-eminent British folk rock singer”, Sandy Denny.

Denny lived only to the age of 31, but she helped to create the sound of iconic British folk in the 1960s and 70s, with bands such as The Strawbs, Fairport Convention, Fotheringay, and solo recordings. She was also the only outside artist invited to record on a Led Zeppelin album.

Hear Sandy Denny’s music on WUMB during the 9 AM, noon, 3 PM, and 7 PM hours on Thursday.
