"When I was ten years old my older sister bought me my first two albums...so I could blame her for getting me hooked on music very early on. My parents also need to share some of the blame; as a freshman in high school they "allowed" me to go to a concert...on a school night! I still go to as many shows as possible." Looking at Dominick's music collection now you'll find everything from blues to jazz to classic rock to folk. Dominick is a native of Massachusetts and the 2nd of four siblings. "Growing up with 2 sisters and a younger brother combined with being a Boston sports fan has taught me to have a sense of humor...excuse me...forced me to have a sense of humor."
Following his graduation from Marietta College in Ohio he made his first radio stop at a small country station in Providence (WHIM). "After growing up on the east coast I knew I needed to be living close to the beach, something that wasn't an option in Southern Ohio." From there Dominick "graduated" to 92.9 WBOS in Boston, where he stayed for the next 13 years doing late nights. He would also add 105.7 WROR to his resume, working weekends and doing an occasional shift with the legendary Loren & Wally. While working in radio Dominick spent many years teaching radio performance classes at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, eventually moving to the admissions side. "I've been very fortunate to always have jobs that I've been excited to have. Working in radio and education has been a great experience."
Dominick is now here at WUMB as your Morning Show Host and WUMB Assistant Special Projects Manager. "This is a great station with an exceptional format. The depth of our music library and the knowledge of our listeners make WUMB a very exciting station to be part of!"
