It's been pretty nice so far this year, but that doesn't mean cold weather is far away. It's time for the UMass Boston Golden Key International Honour Society Warm Clothing Drive.

This is the seventh year WUMB Radio, and local coffeehouses which are associated with BACHA, the Boston Area Coffeehouse Association will be partnering with Golden Key to help those who can not afford to stay warm enough themselves this winter.

Last year, with the generosity of the WUMB and BACHA coffeehouses, we donated more than 3,200 pounds (nearly a ton and a half) of warm jackets, gloves, mittens and hats to area shelters. This year, there are more coffehouses involved than ever before!

You can drop off your warm clothing items at the various shows of the coffeehouse listed below (more Coffeehouses to be added soon) and at WUMB Member Concerts through mid-February. Please make sure all items are in good condition. Golden Key students will then pick up and deliver the clothing to local shelters. We would prefer that all clothing be tied in plastic bags.

THANK YOU so much!
